PROJECTS

It used to seen that science progressed quickly while nature stood still.  Now it seems the reverse is true.

Human activities are causing 'natural' selection across the planet–   from microbes to trees, evolution we can actually watch is becoming the new normal.

Evolution can now be recognized as an everyday practical matter.  At the ICE we are determining how best to work with the adaptive and problem solving ability of species that we care about and the can come to our aid. And when adaptation is not possible, how we can come to their's.

ICE is working to define and promote the new field of applied evolutionary biology.

Through its research, publications, and conferences, the ICE develops and shares new evolutionary solutions to the challenges of human sustainability in the areas of food, health, and the environment.
